NAUTIC Show honors Saint Martin and Saint Barth after 2017 hurricanes
NAUTIC Paris Boat show, organised by FIN (French Federation Nautical Industry), honors this year all nautical companies from Saint Martin and Saint Barth.
METIMER (Saint Martin nautical association) is being hosted at the show, and gives out information to all visitors about all nautical activities on the island. The association is also inviting visitors to participate to a prize draw in order to win a trip to Saint Martin, including flights, hotel, nautical sports, and participation to the Fête de la Mer 2018 (annual sea festival at the end of May).
FIN and FOUNTAINE PAJOT give massive support to the the Caribbean nautical industry
The FIN is giving an important financial help to the local indstries through a fund, to which FOUNTAINE PAJOT generously donated through an auction held by METIMER. Caribbean Multihulls also donated during the auctions, as both our offices are located on islands where hurricanes brought great damage: Irma in St Martin and Maria in Puerto Rico.
Claire Fountaine, President of Fountaine Pajot Catamarans, and Peter Cohen, director of Caribbean Multihulls, both joined the METIMER team during the celebration organised by the NAUTIC in order to support Saint Martin and Saint Barth.
A recovery fund will be donated for the nautical industry in St Martin and St Barth. METIMER will be handling the funds by redistributing to locals actors. Furthermore a collect has been open on Ekosea, a crowdfunding platform for sea and environmental projects also supported by the FIN.
Claire Fountaine and Peter Cohen particpated to the ceremony.
