Fountaine Pajot victim of its own success
Fountaine Pajot catamarans are hugely successful and the yard has been facing limits in production capacity.
Despite the massive investments already made to expand their production area in Aigrefeuille d'Aunis, catamaran delivery time is often around 2 years or above, especially for sailboats.
Couach shipyard to take care of the production of Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts
Fountaine Pajot has been working hard in this issue, and just announced that it has entrusted the production of its power catamarans (Motor Yachts range) to Couach shipyard.
This will allow to continue developping the engine range, while freeing up significant additional production space on its La Rochelle site (called « Scan » factory).
Close collaboration between the two shipyards
Fountaine Pajot and Couach are working together closely in order to prepare for this construction handover and guarantee impeccable quality.
The subcontracting of Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts to Couach will begin in October 2022 on dedicated production lines, for delivery from November 2022.
Fountaine Pajot has chosen Couach for its production of motor catamarans for obvious reasons :
- its know-how in quality motor boats,
- its expertise in the field of composites, to always be more environment-friendly,
- as well as its ability to take charge of such an important construction project, with 250 employees working for Couach shipyard and specializing into 21 fields.
A sustainable deal in a booming industry
Florent Battistella, CEO of Couach, welcomed this new collaboration between the two shipyards. This synergy promises to be sustainable, in a booming sector.
It allows the Couach shipyard to confirm the excellence of its industrial know-how and to carry on consolidating its development.
Couach shipyard is based in France in Gujan Mestras on the Atlantic side (near Bordeaux), and has been producing boats up to 50m since 1897.
