Two new Fountaine Pajot catamarans
have just arrived on the island!
This week we have welcomed two new Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans in Saint Martin.
HELIA 44 Evolution
One of the catamarans is a brand new Helia 44 Evolution, skippered by Andreas, one of our favourite captains. The Atlantic crossing has been longer than he hoped, as the conditions were not optimal and the breeze too scarce.
This HELIA 44 Evolution crossed with 4 people on board, the German captain and 3 crew members. After taking care of docking, clearance, and arranging for the warranty engine service, they could at last enjoy a few drinks at the Spinnaker bar in Marina Royale!
LUCIA 40
This Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 catamaran also just arrived to Saint Martin. After reaching the island last Sunday, Julien the French captain and his 2 crew members enjoyed a short relaxing break on Tintamarre island, before coming into Marina Royale in Marigot (French side of Saint Martin, where our offices are).
Before she gets handed over, the Volvo agents are doing the regular maintenance on the engines. We also coordinated a technician to go on board the Lucia 40 and fix a couple of warranty issues on the boat. The Atlantic crossing is certainly the best way to ensure that most warranty issues get solved in advance on new boats, giving peace of mind to the new owners!
